recruiters. Although the NCAA regulates colleges’
contacts with high-school students by telephone and in person, the association has
not limited colleges’ use of text messages because it views them as less intrusive to students. College officials love the technology. "It’s a lot easier than a phone call," says Pete Germano, recruiting coordinator at Ohio University. (The Columbus Dispatch)
